Chapter 1 Ripunjay Borsiwala
It is not about what do you want to build but it is all about what your customers are looking for.
When a developer understand that what will the user get from this product and in what manner then a successful product is developed. To understand these, one must understand the work of the business owner and then determine how that work should be carried out in the future.
Business Analyst then shows which product will improve the work to the business owner and then requirements are made which describes the functionality of the product (what will it do? how well it will do?). These requirements are a crucial part of the success of the product. Moreover, requirements are must for any business and even it does not depend on programing language and programming life cycle.
v Truth 4
It is not about which software you build it is all about that software should solve business problems.
Many software development projects concentrate only on software but if you want your software to be successful then your software should solve all the business problem. Some development process involves inviting users to give their feedback and to know whether the software solves their problems or not. If not, then the software is improved according to the feedback. The issue with this process is we never know that if the user was satisfied with the product or they were exhausted with the process and said ‘yes’.
Moreover, users don’t know that whether the software will cause a problem in near future because of the wide business. This shows, that the development of the project should start with the problem and not with the solution.
